Among the most important of these protections is the Fourth Amendment , which prohibits “unreasonable searches and seizures.” This language is not symbolic. It is a legal barrier against arbitrary government action, including the physical grabbing, detaining, or restraining of a person without lawful justification. Under constitutional law, physically restraining someone’s movement counts as a seizure . Whether it is a police officer pulling someone off the street or a government agent restricting a person’s ability to leave a location, the act falls squarely within Fourth Amendment scrutiny. After taking some time to reflect, and all has aged, I have come to realize that I allowed my personal connection to the Braxton family to influence how I responded. The Braxtons are related to me, so I took the situation personally and reacted from a place of emotion rather than stepping back and looking at the situation objectively. That does not excuse what I said or how I responded to you. I respect that you have your own perspective and the right to express it, even when I may disagree with it. I should have handled the situation with more scrutiny and restraint instead of allowing my personal feelings and family connection to dictate my response. For that, I am genuinely sorry.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by @theybfdailynow Reported Incident Involving Tamar Braxton Reportedly, on Saturday night, August 16, 2025, singer and reality star Tamar Braxton was discovered by a friend in a pool of blood with a fractured nose, loss of some mobility, and four missing teeth. She reportedly had no memory of what had happened to her. Early the next morning, Tamar posted to Instagram: “Thank you God for waking me up today.” According to Tamar, she began receiving calls asking what had happened, and while struggling to explain, she decided to share the post above. Later, she added another statement: “The way I look at life now is totally different. The owner of the blog — once a respected talent manager in Hollywood — had walked away from the industry because, in his words,  “everyone just wanted to be a rapper.”  What he was searching for wasn’t fame or flash. He was looking for  honest artistry  — an artist who could speak truthfully about the struggle of being a Black man in America.
