INTRODUCTION John Rose better known by his stage name, "J.R., The Golden Ticket" is a Rapper, Engineer, Producer, Songwriter, and Lyricist. Born in, Washington, DC (The Nations Capital) and raised in Takoma Park, Md., J.R. began writing poetry at the tender age of 7. By the time he was 10 J.R. had began to take his poetry into a new creative direction at the behest of the artistry of the then (Now Late) Rapper Tupac Shakur. However, it was his earlier influences from the music of Earth, Wind and Fire; Bob Marley; Whitney Houston; and Michael Jackson that shaped the base of his Rhythm and Blues, R&B, approach to turning his poetry into music. Being of White, Native American, and Ecuadorian decent JR has a sound all his own that blends blues, hip-hop, and soul. He intends to use his music to make a difference in the lives of others.
