David Banner Set To Release Free Album
Grammy Award winning recording artist and producer David Banner releases the video for his third single Californication, featuring Snoop Dogg, Game, Nipsey Hussle, Ras Kass & Kree, off his free album Sex, Drug & Video Games, which will drop on May 22 as a free download for his fans on www.livemixtapes.com and www.davidbanner.com.
The
album will feature Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Big K.R.I.T., A$AP Rocky, 2,
Bun B, Maino and more. The program kicked off on March 14 with the
release of the single Believe,
featuring Big K.R.I.T., and will continue to feature new music off the
album every other Wednesday with accompanying videos the following week.
“It
was important to me to deliver a steady stream of great music and
videos from this release to show fans it’s not about a single song but
rather an overall album,” explains Banner.
Inspired
by comedian Louie C.K., The 2M1 Movement (2 Million $1) is a mission
that David Banner has created in order for fans and consumers of urban
music, movies, media and content to gain control and influence on what
they consume in this space. Through donating a minimum of $1 to the 2M1
Movement, Banner is going to consistently deliver music, videos, movies
and charitable donations to positively influence urban culture.
“The
goal of approaching urban entertainment from this perspective is that
it puts the most important people first, that of the fans and the
artists who create those mediums.”
