Lil Wayne Fires Back at Pusha T for Drake/Young Money Diss
The rappers feud after new song "Exodus 23:1" released.
Pusha T commands the spotlight as the only rapper on the latest G.O.O.D. Music single, and the track's aggressive content has already stirred up controversy. The song allegedly contains lyrical barbs thrown at Drake and Young Money, earning an instant and caustic response from YM head honcho Lil Wayne.
"F--k pusha t and anybody that love em," Wayne wrote on Twitter this morning.
Released last night, Pusha's song "Exodus 23:1" contains the following line about a rapper with a convoluted label situation.
"Contract all f----d up / I guess that means you all f----d up / You signed to one n---a that signed to another n---a that's signed to three n----s / Now that's bad luck," he raps.
Some have interpreted the remarks as an attack on Drake and other Young Money artists, who are signed to Lil Wayne's label, which is in turn signed to Birdman and Slim's Cash Money imprint, which is itself a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.
It wouldn't be the first time Pusha has taken thinly veiled shots at Drizzy. Last year, he launched a thousand online debates with his song "Don't F--k Wit Me," which borrowed Drake's beat for "Dreams Money Can Buy" and contained the line "The swag don't match the sweaters."
Elsewhere on "Exodus 23:1," astute observers also point out a diss apparently aimed at Young Chop, the producer who first rose to fame for helming the original version of the viral hit "I Don't Like," and then for insulting Kanye West over his G.O.O.D. Music remix.
"You can keep your beats, n---a / We'd much rather share your b---h, n---a," Pusha rhymes.
Chop has yet to respond to the remarks.
