ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Erica Byrne has worked predominantly in prime time Television for two decades. Her numerous credits include episodes of La Femme Nikita, Nowhere Man, Silk Stalkings, Hunter, Knots Landing, and Walker, Texas Ranger. Ms. Byrne has served as a staff writer and written many produced docu-dramas as well as animated scripts. Ms. Byrne served as a mentor/lecturer to the European Film College Writers Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition to writing and producing, Ms. Byrne teaches Film and Television writing at UCLA Extension and served on the Guidance Committee of the Writers Program for two years. At AFI she taught Writing for Episodic Television through their Sloan Foundation Workshop. Ms. Byrne has been on staff as part-time faculty at Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television teaching Film and TV courses to both undergraduate and grad students. In tune with current technology, Ms. Byrne teaches Film and Television writing on the internet to a global audience and is currently writing a book, "TV series 411: Writing the TV Pilot & Creating Your Brand." A member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Ms. Byrne is also active in the Writers Guild of America.

Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis are the founders of ESE Film Workshops Online and authors of the books, "I Liked It, Didn't Love It: Screenplay Development from the Inside Out" and "The Complete Filmmaker's Guide to Film Festivals: Your All Access Pass to Launching Your Film On the Festival Circuit." Edwards, a former production company development exec, has produced ten movies and is Assistant Professor at Chapman University Singapore's Dodge College of Film& Media Arts. Skerbelis, a former studio exec, is a film festival programming director for two festivals and teaches at UCLA Extension and Riverside Community College.
