Former Fugees Video Director Sentenced To 90 Years In Prison For Impregnating Children -
The award-winning video director charged with the brutal, bizarre raping of his six daughters, resulting in six children being fathered, to create “a pure family bloodline” will be spending the rest of his life in jail.
Aswad Ayinde, 55, who won an MTV Video Music award for directing The Fugee’s 1996 smash “Killing Me Softly,” will be jailed for 90 years after the serial breeder impregnated his six daughters. Ayinde was found guilty on Friday for raping his second daughter way back when she was just eight-years-old. The latter sentence added 50 years to the 40 received in 2011 for sexually-assaulting another daughter.
“He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen,” Ayinde’s ex-wife Beverly Ayinde, who married him in 1977, testified at a pre-trial hearing in 2010. The miserable assaults took place between the mid-1980s up until 2002, when he and Beverly separated. Some even occurred in various homes across northern New Jersey, including an abandoned funeral home where the family briefly stayed in Paterson, New Jersey.
“He was having regular relationships with all the girls,” revealed Ayinde’s former wife, who also told a court that her ex-husband was trying to create a “pure family bloodline” that would survive the Doomsday. “I wasn’t fighting back. I was afraid to fight back. I was afraid to ever accuse him of being demented or being a pedophile. I knew the word, but I wouldn’t dare use it because it would result in a beating.”
The deranged father also starved and beat the girls with wooden boards and steel-toed boots.
Ayinde still faces three more trials over the reported sexual assaults.
