Jamie Foxx Pities the Spidey Fool in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

"We wanted Electro to disrespect Spider-Man" — so says Jamie Foxx about his upcoming villainous turn in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

So in order to get under Spidey's skin, Foxx channeled one of the most-quoted baddies in cinema history
Clubber Lang, aka Mr. T. In other words, Electro pities the Spider-fool.

"What we wanted to do with Electro ... we wanna capture when Mr. T fought Rocky. He didn't even say, 'I'm gonna beat you up, Rocky.' He was talking to his girl: 'Hey pretty girl. You need a real man.' I was thinking 'Aw man, that's so disrespectful,'" Foxx told Yahoo recently while promoting Canon's Project Imaginat10n, a worldwide contest for which he directed a short film.

Canon's Project Imaginat10n is a virtual film fest curated by Ron Howard and inspired by real-life photossubmitted from around the globe. After the winning photos are selected, five celebrity directors and five contest

winners each create a short film inspired by the chosen pictures.

Speaking of inspiration, Foxx told us he channeled some of his former employers, specifically Oliver Stone and Quentin Tarantino, to direct his own Project Imaginat10n movie "… And She Was My Eve," which you can view below.

Whether or not he directed his actors to channel Ivan Drago is up for your own interpretation.
