MORE SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN WIZ KHALIFA'S UNCLE KILLING
Weeks after the fatal shooting of rapper Wiz Khalifa's 20-year-old uncle, police have reportedly made two more arrests.
According to reports, two suspects in their 20's were thrown behind bars yesterday (January 22).
Authorities have arrested two more suspects in the drug-related shooting death of rapper Wiz Khalifa's uncle in the parking lot of a Pittsburgh-area fast food restaurant. Paul "Los" Sanders Jr., of Wilkinsburg, and Michael Wolford, of Braddock, both 20, both face a preliminary hearing Feb. 6. They were arrested Wednesday night and immediately jailed without bond on criminal homicide and other charges in the Jan. 8 shooting of 20-year-oldImani Porter. The two suspects were tracked to an apartment in Wilmerding, another suburb, by the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force. Once there, investigators found an unspecified amount of crack cocaine and digital scales, which were also seized and resulted in additional drug possession charges against the men. (WPXI News)
Recently, Khalifa broke his silence and spoke on his late uncle's memory.
"I remember his smile. He had the biggest, biggest smile. He's just a handsome, young man; he's always going to be with us," Wiz said in an interview. "We're doing well, actually. He was a lot younger than us, so it's really unfortunate," Wiz said. "Being from where I'm from, Pittsburgh, it's an up-and-down type of place. Right now, it's not really a good time, and unfortunately, it hit home, so we're all sad." (MTV)
Reports earlier this month claimed Wiz's uncle may have lost his lifedue to a drug deal gone wrong.
Police say 17-year-old Jaron Young, of Penn Hills, is charged as an adult with criminal homicide in the Wednesday night shooting of 20-year-old Imani Porter. Porter, of Pittsburgh, was parked in a Steak 'n Shake parking lot in suburban Munhall when he was shot. He died at a hospital Thursday. Allegheny County homicide detectives believe Porter planned to sell heroin to Young and another still-unidentified suspect when he was, instead, shot in the head. Young denied involvement to reporters as he was taken into custody. (ABC News)
Details of the 17-year-old suspect surfaced online in mid-January.

The suspect's mother made sure to speak out following his arrest.
A mother forced her son to surrender Thursday for his suspected role in a fatal drug deal at The Waterfront, a popular shopping, dining and entertainment complex along the Monongahela River. "It was the right thing to do," Ronnica Sanders, 41, said, hours after her son's arrest. "I didn't raise my kid to be in the street. I didn't. I raised him to be a respectable young man in the community." (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
