Jay Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West Named in $2 Billion Lawsuit

Prisoner claims lyrics were stolen in bizarre government conspiracy. 

A California inmate filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against Jay Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West and more, for conspiring with the government to steal his lyrics. 

Richard Dupree Jr. — who is locked up at the California State Prison in Corcoran — filed the suit on April 21, claiming that some of music's biggest stars have built their fortune off his talent.  

With the help of the CIA, FBI and Homeland Security, Yeezy and The Carters have been in the business of stealing his ideas for the last three to four years, Dupree alleges. Chris Brown and Rihanna were also involved in the lyrical larceny plan. 

They allegedly did it by spying on Dupree in his cell and successfully wresting 3,000 songs from him. He estimates that he's been robbed for "hundreds of millions, even billions in the satellite organization," the suit says. 

This isn't the first time Dupree has sued from behind prison bars, and he usually demands that he be freed from custody.

In June 2011, he brought a "price discrimination" lawsuit against the United States Copyright Office for allowing his lyrics to be jacked. According to Dupree, being locked up lost him the ability to copyright his lyrics which were in turn "stolen by established music artists." In August of 2011 he sued a porn star for identity theft.

He's willing to take $2.4 billion to settle his current suit, along with an immediate release from prison.
