Vanilla Ice Arrested On Burglary & Theft Charges
The arrest is tied to Vanilla Ice's work
on his "The Vanilla Ice Project" television show.
Vanilla Ice was arrested and charged with burglary
and grand theft in Lantana, Florida today (February 18), according to TMZ.
The rapper allegedly stole furniture, bicycles and a
pool heater, among other items, from a vacant home in the Sunshine State at some
point within the last month.
The charges are tied to an abandoned house Vanilla
Ice was renovating for his The Vanilla Ice Project television show,
which he has hosted since 2010.
The owner of the house did not approve of the removal
of the items, leading to the arrest of the rapper, whose given name is Robert
Van Winkle.
After police obtained a search warrant, they searched
Vanilla Ice’s Palm Beach County residence and found several of the items in
question, Variety says.
The items have been returned to the owner and Vanilla
Ice has reportedly been cooperative during the investigation.
