B-13 Peer Review

We were sent this video by a personal friend. The owner of the blog was a Talent Manager in Hollywood he gave it up because everyone wanted to be a rapper, but the content was troubling for him. He was looking for a honest artist that told him of his struggles as a black men in America not the misogyny, genocide, megalomania, nor the glorification of drug use. He wanted raw an unapologetic truth from the black male perspective. There was a group he got behind called the MERC Boys. They were amazing however, before they could reach their full potential in the way that we dreamed; an A&R from Capital Records  started whispering sweet nothings in their ear. They abandoned ship before their potential could be reach and just as they were warned Capitol Records shelved them. The group disbanded.

They were a great find and we groomed them for success they got a taste of that success at a club called the Haven in downtown Hollywood where their concert was standing room only and a line outside waiting to get in. The performance was so amazing and they were treated like celebrities and that is were the downfall began. The world never got to witness the power of raw truth from the perspective of 5 men that had their struggles memorialized in their music that reached all men.

We tried hard to find an act to follow that up but we were hard pressed to find an act that would allow us to mold them like the Merc Boys did. So consequently, the company resorted to blogging. We have been sound advise for many artists like Estell, Plies, Hopsin, just to name a view however, they were all plucked out of your hands buy major labels.

This morning were sent a video by a personal friend of Elijah Blake with a song titled, "Hanging Tree". For the first time it brought us to tears. The owner was excited and asked to to release this article immediately. We would like to take this time to re-introduce to the world a B-13 exclusive, "Hanging Tree":
