DMX Calls Drake a "Piece of Sh*t" Over Aaliyah Album
Young Money rapper Drake hit the music scene in a big way years ago, grabbing the attention of fellow artists as well as millions of fans. But one rap veteran who isn't impressed with Drizzy's style is DMX who has made a comeback onto the rap scene. The Yonkers native was a guest on MTV's RapFix Live Wednesday afternoon and shared his dismay for Drake's musical sound.
"He has talent but it's kind of redundant," X said. "It's kind of the same all the time, and it sounds the same to me personally. It's an annoying sound. Like a washing machine or a dryer. I don't even have to explain. I just don't like what it is."
DMX was also perturbed in regards to Drake and his crew putting together a posthumous Aaliyah album without collaborating with those who've worked closely with the late R&B singer.
"I'm feeling some kind of way about the fact that you've been commissioned...You've been blessed, you've been given the opportunity to do the [Aaliyah] album yet you don't include anybody she worked with personally. What part of the game is that?"
Drake hasn't responded to these remarks nor has anyone from the Young Money camp. Let us know what you think of DMX's comments.
During his interview with AllHipHop, DMX flared up when asked about Drake not including Missy Elliott or Timbaland on his upcoming posthumous Aaliyah album.
