Jada Pinkett Smith Cast on Fox’s Batman Prequel Show

Jada Pinkett Smith will make her return to TV, joining the cast of Fox’s Batman prequel show titled Gotham as a villain. Find out who she’ll play!

It would seem that Jada Pinkett Smith will be the next actress to join the cast of Fox’s show Gotham that will present the early career of Detective Jim Gordonin a city full of criminals and lowlifes (besides supervillains).

If you’re wondering who she’ll end up playing, let me assure you that you’ll never guess. No, it’s not Harley Quinn, Catwoman or other female DC Comics character from Batman‘s universe.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress from the The Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions will play none other than Fish Mooney. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, it’s because it’s a new and original character created for the show. Fish Mooney will be “a sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner, she’s got the street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book. Imposing and hotheaded, she’s not one to be crossed.”

EW also notes that this strong and powerful boss will have a certain young psychopath Oswald Cobblepot as a minion, whom I’m sure fans will recognize as the alter-ego of The Penguin. You know, probably the Fish – Penguin pun is supposed to imply that Oswald will eventually “eat” Jada Pinkett Smith’s character
