Musical Theater Auditions in Philly / South NJ for “Dorothy Meets Alice or the Wizard of Wonderland”
Acting auditions for Musical – Community Theater production.
Location: Philadelphia/Southern NJ
Type: Theater
WDLT Productions presents a 25th Anniversary Production of Dorothy Meets Alice or the Wizard of Wonderland, book & lyrics by Tony nominated playwright Joseph Robinette (Christmas Story, the Musical). Music is by Karl Jurman.
Join us on this magical 80 minute musical adventure with Judson Watson. His book report is due, but he didn’t read. In a last minute attempt to put something on paper, he falls asleep and dreams both stories into one.
Dr. Joe Robinette first produced this particular production on the main stage at Glassboro State (now Rowan University) in 1990. For this 25th Anniversary tribute, his original Alice will direct! Dr. Joe will be in attendance for the shows, and appearances or messages from some of the original cast are expected as well.
Riverwinds Community Center, 1000 Riverwinds Drive, West Deptford, NJ 08086 in Arts and Crafts Rm.
Wednesday, December 16th, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a non-ballad piece, preferably from the children’s theatre genre.
At this point, no accompanist is expected to attend, so please have music in the correct key via CD, smart phone, iPod, etc.; speaker with blue tooth will also be available.
Bring comfortable shoes, as you may be shown a quick dance routine to ascertain extent of ability to move
Expect to be given cold readings from the script.
Due to multiple factors, we are looking for experienced actors who are self-motivated learners, can follow a vocal score comfortably, and who are not intimidated by changing venues or learning via video conferencing, although physical rehearsals will also be held. Those who fit these criteria, who cannot make the physical audition, may submit video auditions containing the above required vocals, plus a short monologue portraying a character role and a commentary/demo regarding your dancing/movement potential. Please send them to LauraT@wdltproductions.com
