Netflix Casting call for Extras on “Sense8″

The  team behind the Matrix trilogy,  The Wachowskis  are now in production of “Sense 8” season 2. The show  is a sci-fi series about a group of people who have a mysterious mental power. Season one of “Sense8” premiered this last summer and season 2 of the sci-fi series is now filming.

The show films in the Chicago area and Atmosphere casting in Illinois is looking for background actors and extras that are available to work over this weekend. There is also a rush call for a short stand-in available to work tomorrow.

The “Sense8” cast  includes Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen and Max Riemelt. Also, Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista? and ???Joe Pantoliano.

“The series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally,” Deadline had a chit chat with “Sense 8” showrunnr, J. Michael Straczynski. In the interview he explained a bit about exactly how the show’s characters are mentally linked to each other….

We will be shooting this coming SAT 1/23 and SUN 1/24 and will need a few extras each day.

SAT 1/23:
I need a total of (6) extras to play regular neighborhood pedestrians. (3) will be playing in an “early 90′s” flashback scene, so I for that, I need people who don’t have too current of a look and/or have early 90′s period clothing available.

SUN 1/24:
I need a total of (6) extras to play park goers at an ice skating rink. You will not be skating. I need an older couple and 2 younger couples.

Short Stand-in

Stand in for a child actor to work tomorrow. I need someone very short, 4’10-5’2, prefer a male but can use a female, no one under the age of 16, and prefer someone who has stand in or on-set experience.
