Label Signings: Dada Life, Torion Sellers And More

Torion Sellers is the latest rapper to join Young Money. The rapper was signed to the label by Lil Wayne and Young Money Entertainment president Mack Maine.  Electronic duo Dada Life have signed with Island Records. The pair, comprised of Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom, recently released hit single “Kick Out The Epic Motherf**ker,” which has topped the Beatport charts for the past month. The pair is currently on tour, including a stop at Ultra in Miami this weekend. Check out the video for the single below: 

  

Florida death metal band Massacre have reformed and inked a deal with Century Media Records. The group is currently in the studio working on a new album and plan to release a 7-inch in August 2012 featuring two new tracks called “Back From Beyond” and “Succumb To Rapture.” Guitarist Rick Rozz said, “I am overwhelmed, and overly flattered, for this great honor in this day & age, of being part of the Century Media Family…This whole thing came together on the fly, after 17 years in the waiting. Way cool…if you ask me, nothing but respect!” 

 

 

MikeyWhiskeyHands has signed with Velocity Records. The project is the hip-hop alter ego of Pierce The Veil drummer Mike Fuentes, who will release his first single, “Get Your Mind Right,” on April 3. Fuentes said, “WhiskeyHands started out as a joke. I was on tour with Pierce The Veil, and [Pierce The Veil bassist] Jaime [Preciado] was making beats on his laptop. I remember playing a show in Vegas and I randomly laid down a verse to one of his beats and right away we knew we had to show people what we could do with this. I’ve been into rap/hip hop before I even started listening to/playing rock so it’s more of something I can have fun with and contribute to the many parties/clubs/gang bangs around the world.” Check out the rapper’s signing announcement and clip of his upcoming single here.
