Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion, Faces Years In Prison

Lauryn Hill pled guilty to three counts of tax evasion, she could be sentenced for three years in prison plus fines.

We reported when the news first broke that Lauryn Hill faced federal charges for tax evasion, and now Hill has owned up to deliberately not paying her taxes, she faces three years in prison if charged.

TMZ reports that Lauryn Hill pled guilty today to three counts of failing to file her taxes, for the years 2005, 2006, and 2007, when she earned more than $1.8 million.

When the judge asked Hill if she ""intentionally and willingly" didn't pay her taxes, she replied, "Yes."

In addition to three years in prison, Hill also faces a fine of $75,000.

She was released on bail for $150,000. Her sentence hearing will be in November.

B-13 Peer Review: This is an outrage! Lauryn Hill only made $1.8 mil and they are going to put her in jail?! The government has lost it's purpose... They have turned on the people that they are sworn to protect against enemies both foreign and domestic. 


What am I talking about? Well you have some of the biggest banks in the world virtually legally rob the public of over $800 bil + there take in the real estate fiasco that has not had a number put to it. Then they grossly toast over it on private jets. 


I guess my question is where is Lauryn's bail out? Why not just work out a payment agreement with her. Putting her in jail is not going to benefit no one... There isn't a public out cry over Lauryn's little tax bill. However; the real estate debacle has thrown the country into a recession that has garnered public distrust in government.  


Private citizens are under attack, People had better wake up! The man they are getting ready to put back in office has  paid the bail out of which has not been paid back as of yet.
