Maia Campbell back from her bottom...

B-13 Peer Review:  Actress, Artist, Author, Maia Campbell

Born, November 26, 1976, to Bebe Moore Campbell and Tiko Campbell in Takoma, MD. At age 7 She moved to Los Angeles, California with her family. Growing up, she spent many summers in Philadelphia studying voice and starring in productions at the Freedom Theatre.

She also studied theatre at the Marla Gibbs' Crossroads Theatre in Los Angeles, and at Spelman College in Atlanta for one year before working on the sitcom, In the House.

Although Campbell has become best known for her role as the witty adolescent daughter on the series In the House, she has been frequently seen on television. She was featured in a regular role as Nicole in the series South Central, portraying Larenz Tate's girlfriend, and also had a guest role in Thea.

She also had a minor role in John Singleton's Poetic Justice, with Janet Jackson, playing the role of Tupac Shakur's cousin in Oakland. Her other screen credits include the television movie The Reindeer Kid Jr. and she also hosted the young adult magazine show Twenty-four/Seven in 1995.

November 27, 2006 Maia's mom, Author and best seller Bebe Moore Campbell passed away of a brain tumor. Maybe this has been a bit too much for Maia Campbell, because questions about her sanity, drugs, nude pics and videos started to surface.

We will not show the nude pics protecting the dignity of Ms Campbell.

One thing we pride ourselves in here at B-13 is we don't believe in throw away people. This is really sad. How is it that we take pleasure in the downfall of the best of us? There was a time when we protected our people. We took care of our wayward, sick, infirmed, and challenged our hedonist to do better. When we were in a bad way we used to run to the ghetto to get healing, correction, and guidance. This is an example of how that has changed.

The ghetto, the hood, is no longer a refuge for our people. The dollar has reigned supreme.

However; there is a GOD!

In early 2010 Maia Campbell has emerged from the drugs and is going strong at rebuilding her life!

Now Moving forward Maia and don't look back... Never let anyone distract you... We Love you. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers.
