The backstage scuffle between entourages for rap bigs Rick Ross and Young Jeezy at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta was caught on video, showing how tensions flared right before a parking lot showdown Saturday night.
The nearly minute-and-a-half clip posted by TMZ.com on Sunday showed a mirror getting smashed and shoving between the rappers’ cliques at the Atlanta Civic Center. Police and security tried to keep the groups apart, and a shirtless Ross walked away as the shouting escalated.
The Atlanta Police Department reported no arrests or serious injuries after arriving at approximately 7 p.m., according to TMZ.

While reports of shots fired were untrue, police said, they did have to use pepper spray to break up the fracas when it continued outside.
The entire episode reportedly occurred after a tribute during the awards show to hip-hop manager Chris Lighty, who committed suicide last month behind his Bronx townhouse.
Earlier, Ross reportedly badmouthed Jeezy during a performance.
Witnesses told the Daily News that the melee, which didn’t interrupt the actual show, was “absolute chaos.”
BET released a statement Sunday distancing itself from the squabbling.
“Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place. BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” the network said.
The show is scheduled to air on BET on Oct. 9.
