Starbucks, the international coffee company, announced today that it is banning all screenwriters from its 19,435 locations worldwide, effective immediately.  The move comes after a study commissioned by the company revealed that screenwriters not only spent the least amount of money at their coffeehouses, but they also have “a depressing and desperate air about them that spoils everyone else’s experience.” In addition, the study noted that the highest incidence of stealing packets of Sweet & Low came from screenwriters. “As of today, all 19,435 Starbucks locations will now be safe from the scourge of screenwriters,” said Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who quickly added, “Actually the number is now 19,484 — we added another 49 locations since making the decision.” Schultz went on to explain that the company couldn’t find evidence of a good script ever having actually been written by anyone sitting in a Starbucks and said internal research also pointed to the fact t

The ex G-Unit rapper was almost killed in a drive-by shooting attempt earlier this morning around 3:30am in his hometown Nashville,TN. He was apparently back in town working on a music project. According to TMZ, Buck was driving his SUV along with two passengers, when a car drove up beside them and opened fire!  Eleven shots were fired, however Buck had an angel on his shoulder as no bullets hit him, nor the passenger in the back seat.  The woman sitting in the passenger seat next to Buck was unfortunately hit in her shoulder. She was later treated for her wounds and released from the hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.  Had that woman not been sitting in that seat, who knows where that bullet would've hit Young Buck. Another case of Twitter beefing, or "Tweefing", has occurred.  Drake and ex-romantic interest Maliah have recently gotten hostile via Twitter.  Well, Maliah a little more than Drake. Drake posted a Tweet recently that had no direct target.  He didn't name any names in his tweet, however, it did seem as though he could have been aiming his comment in Maliah's direction, and she was quick to take offense to his words. Drake tweeted: "Sometimes I wanna tweet things like 'B*tch how you stop f*ckin with me and now you live on twitter everyday'...but then I just don't." Maliah was quick to fire shots back, as an obviously direct response to Drake's previous tweet.  She tweeted: "Lmao Yess I love twitter and I don't f*ck with disrespectful crybaby ass n**gas that's y." On Friday, during a press conference at the Headquarters of the Los Angeles Sentinel, Ray J spoke out about his loss and what his grieving process has been like.  “I really miss my friend,” he said. The Norwood and Houston families have been close for years, and he and Whitney were often rumored to be more than friends. Houston passed away on Ray J’s sister Brandy’s birthday. He admits, beginning the healing process has not been easy for him. “This is all new for me,” said Ray. “I’m really emotional right now, and I really don’t know really what to say. But, what I will say, is that I love, and I’m hurt, but I enjoy being around people that support me and give me a sense of peace.” Ray J was on hand to support the local Brotherhood Crusade and Mothers in Action group. Brick Squad MC Slim Duncan was murdered Friday night inside an Atlanta studio. According to investigators, the 24- year-old rapper, whose real name was Mario Hamilton, was shooting a video at the studio when trouble arose. “Now it's my understanding prior to the video shoot, Mr. Hamilton became involved in a verbal altercation with another individual who we believe produced a handgun, discharged that weapon at least one time, striking Mr. Hamilton in the chest,” Major Keith Meadows with the Atlanta Police Department said. According To Channel 2 News, police said they have questioned about eight people who were at the studio at the time of the shooting, but Meadows said police are not ready to name a suspect in the shooting.
