Black Sabbath’s “13” is “Mindblowing”

Image
Ozzy Osbourne reckons forthcoming Black Sabbath album  13  is “mindblowing” and “the album we should have made after  Sabbath Bloody Sabbath .” Speaking to Australia's Triple M radio station, Ozzy stated about Sabbath’s June-released CD: “The album is mindblowing... I'm so over the moon about the way the album turned out. We wrote 16 songs, and I put it on my CD player, expecting me to be unhappy with the end result, but this big grin came on my face and my hair on the back on my neck [stood up]… It's better than my wildest dreams; it's so good." Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler are joined by RATM drummer Brad Wilk on the album. Songs include “End of the Beginning,” “God is Dead” and “Epic.” Osbourne was full of praise for producer Rick Rubin. “I'd run into him from time to time over the years, and he goes, 'Any chance of Sabbath reforming? If you do, I would love to produce the album,'" Ozzy said. "And he did suc

It seems like  Rick Ross  lyrics aren't only getting the  MMG boss in trouble  these days, but even the gang members who quote Rozay are facing problems. The NYPD have busted 63 gang members in New York, after being led to them through their social media postings, which included quotes of Rick Ross, as well as Meek Mill.  The indictment was released today and reports that members of various gangs, Air It Out, True Money, Whoaday, and the True Money Bosses were led to their downfall by postings on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube which boasted of their criminal activity. One accused member quoted Rozay, "God forgives I don't….somebody gotta' die," on Facebook. Another Air It Out member and  Meek  Mill  fan, put a twist on some of the Philly rapper's lyrics,  quoting , "I'm 2 Glocks strapped, rolling down 112th Madison, 116th is the New Iraq,"  The 63 gang members, most of whom were under the age of 21, with the eldest being 25, were accu

Rick Ross Rape Lyrics: Talib Kweli Takes Rapper To Task Over Controversial Song

Image
"I on't care if Rick Ross is 40 years old -- he's a misguided 40-year-old person." Strong words from Talib Kweli Monday  as he addressed the recent controversy  over Rick Ross' rap verse on the song U.O.E.N.O., in a HuffPost Live segment hosted by Marc Lamont Hill. While Ross seems to have chalked  the controversy surrounding his lyrics  up to some unspecified "misunderstanding," many are not buying his explanation. "Rick Ross condoned rape in that song ... and he should apologize, and his apology that he offered was unacceptable." Kweli continued. Ebony Magazine's News & Life Editor Jamilah Lemieux, Washington Post columnist Rahiel Tesfamariam and activist Rosa Clemente, also participated in the segment discussing not only Ross' lyric, but also the importance of holding hip-hop artists and American communities accountable for not proactively rejecting rape culture or adequately addressing the prevalence of violence ag
