L ee Daniels, creator of the hit show  Empire , is not at all pleased with the fact that  Empire  was snubbed for nominations in the Outstanding Drama category of the Emmy Awards. In an interview with  Empire  star Jussie Smollett that was put up in a video on Instagram, Daniels led with, “Jussie is saying I have to be politically correct on Instagram or I’m going to get in trouble.” “You have to be nice!” Smollett said. But Daniels was done being nice, and he let the Academy know it. “F— those motherf—ers!” he said in his message to Emmy voters. Later he posted an Instagram video apologizing, saying that he loves the Emmys. This year’s Emmy Awards snubbed the show for its overall series and seemed to ignore its original music , but they did get one nomination: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Tarji P. Henson’s portrayal of Cookie Lyon.

FOX Batman inspired crime drama, “ Gotham ”  is about to film a black tie event for an episode in the show’s second season. We just got more video of Lil Wayne getting drenched onstage Sunday night and everyone says Birdman is the culprit, but it looks like lots of people got soaked during the melee, including Birdman himself. As we reported, Wayne was onstage at LIV Nightclub in Miami, and as he rapped about his gripes with Cash Money the liquid hits the stage , appearing to douse him. Check out the video ... it seems like people in the crowd are also throwing cups of what we're told is primarily vodka, and some squarely in the direction of Birdman.

The saga continues. Birdman has filed suit against Jay Z for $50 million, and it’s all over Lil Wayne. Cash Money Records is suing Jay Z’s streaming service TIDAL for streaming Lil Wayne’s album FWA . Cash Money claims it has exclusive rights to Wayne’s music and TIDAL is an illegal intermeddler. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ , Cash Money calls out TIDAL for resorting to “a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.” TIDAL responds to the claim, saying that Cash Money does not have an exclusive lock on Weezy and that he gave it the right to stream his music, in return for an ownership stake in the company. However, Cash Money begs to differ and cites its contract with Wayne, which specifically states Wayne does not have the power to license his music to anyone else.
