Lifetime doing Whitney Houston movie with Angela Bassett

Lifetime has confirmed a Whitney Houston movie. Inevitable, but also inevitably interesting: Lifetime is doing a Whitney Houston movie. Because of course they are. When Lifetime’s press release hit our inbox, the first question that sprang to mind was: They’re not already doing a Whitney Houston movie? Adding extra intrigue: Oscar nominee Angela Bassett will direct the film. Bassett and Houston co-starred in 1995′s Waiting to Exhale together. We’re told Bassett will not star, but she may have another role in the film. Dr. Dre And Jimmy Iovine Targeted In New Lawsuit By A Co-Founder Of Beats

Hedge-fund manager Steven Lamar says he deserves four percent of Beats Entertainment's royalties. Recently, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine both became billionaires after their Beats Entertainment company was bought by Apple for $3.2 billion, but as anyone who's been watching HBO's  Silicon Valley  knows, there are always those who think they deserve a piece of that new money pie. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Dre and Iovine are being sued by hedge-fund manager Steven Lamar, who claims that he is one of the company's co-founders and deserves four percent of its profits. Lamar says in 2006, when he was the president of SLS International (another audio equipment company), he had the idea of celebrity-endorsed headphones, which he took to Iovine, the co-founder of Interscope Records. 50 Cent's website says that the bundle that allows fans to hang out with him is sold out. 50 Cent’s website says that it is sold out of the $4,999.00 bundle that allows the purchaser and two of his or her friends to hang out with the rapper at his Connecticut mansion for the weekend. The bundle also comes with five copies of the deluxe version of 50 Cent ’s Animal Ambition CD and DVD; three limited edition T-shirts; five limited edition signed posters from 50 Cent; a pair of black SMS Audio STREET by 50 On-ear headphones; and a pair of black SMS Audio STREET by 50 On-ear headphones.  50 Cent announced the bundles last month.  The other bundles were still available at press time, according to 50 Cent's website . Abdi Hussein says Yasiin Bey chose to move his U.S. tour dates due to other projects. Earlier this month, it was reported that Brooklyn rapper Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) was unable to reenter the United States , and was subsequently forced to cancel his upcoming U.S tour. But according to a man claiming to be a friend of Yasiin’s, those reports are completely untrue. The alleged friend, Abdi Hussein, spoke to the Johannesburg, South Africa-based The Times about Yasiin’s reported predicament. Hussein says the New York City lyricist was never denied entry into the U.S. and instead “moved the dates” for his tour due to other projects he was working on. "[Mos Def] has never attempted to enter any country and been refused. It's a complete lie,” Hussein said while speaking to The Times. “In fact, if there was anything criminal against you, they would invite you back so they could lock you up." Tupac's final words were revealed by a police officer, according to an interview by Vegas Seven. Chris Carroll, a police officer, says he heard Tupac Shakur's last words on September 7, 1996, the night the rapper was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to an interview with Vegas Seven . Carroll says he pulled Tupac Shakur out of Suge Knight's vehicle and that  Knight kept yelling at him. "As Suge is yelling ‘Pac!,’ I look down and I realize that this is Tupac Shakur," Carroll says. "At the time, it didn’t really mean much of anything to me. I was more concerned that this was a bad situation to be in with just one other cop." Deadline reports the actors are in negotiations to star in Chocolate City from indie filmmaker Jean-Claude LaMarre ( Gang Of Roses ). The flick is said to be inspired by the 2012 box office smash Magic Mike , but is banking on the African-American female audience to drive ticket sales. Chocolate City centers on Devin, a college student who is struggling to stay financially afloat. He meets the owner of a male strip club (White) who convinces him to give amateur night a chance.
