B-13 Peer Review Presents: The Merc Boys

The Merc Boys (From left t  o right) Al, 5th Ave, Brick Top, Sosa               B-13 Peer Review's Unsung:  The Merc Boys By: Willy Bill I was looking for raw and unapologetic voice of truth from the black male perspective to take on as a talent to manage. I have flirted with such artists as Christian Keys, (Before he was an actor that everyone has come to know; he was an artist) Chad Moss, (At that time he had parted ways with his management.) Plies, Hopsin, Ledisi, and Giovanca just to name a few. In my search I happened upon this group called the  MERC Boys . When I picked them up they didn't have much support from their followers. They only $13 within weeks I turned it into $600. My projection for the next show was anywhere between $3000- $6000 in door and CD sales. They were electrifying however, before they could reach their full potential in the way that I had planned; an A&R from Capital Records  started whispering sweet nothings in their ear. The King of Pop owned 50% of Sony when he was killed?

Article by:  By  Angel Rodriguez Some of you may not be aware of just how smart a business man Michael Jackson was. In one of his performances he said he really doesn’t like to talk, that he prefers to perform. He then put up a sign that said #sonykillsmusic.  Jackson said that Sony was mad at him because he was planning to leave, and that over time he owned over 50% of their catalogue. According to Michael’s words, he out smarted Sony, and they didn’t like that. He also stated that he was about to become a free agent, and that he had hundreds of songs that he would release! Oh, and he called Tommy Mottola the devil. Any fans of Michael know that he didn’t use profanity often, and he certainly didn’t attack people often either. That being said, for him to call someone mean, and address them as the devil publicly, well, they must really have pissed him off. In any case, his words were during this concert speech were “The best is yet to come.” 360,935 views *  The Best Is Yet To Come - M

B-13 Peer Review: Introducing The One To Watch- Atreyu

Image
Abdullah (Atreyu) Rahman (Rapper, Actor, Singer, and Model) born and raised in Long Beach, Mississippi the youngest of 6 kids; 5 girls and 1 boy. Long beach is a small town on the Mexican boarder, and because Long Beach was such a small town there was very little in way of opportunity in the way in which Atreyu would come to seek.  Atreyu had come to know that in Los Angeles, CA opportunity was plentiful. He found that it would be an easy transition to move to LA because his mom was there and she supported the notion.  Upon arriving Atreyu found that he had a cousin that was musically inclined. This was a perfect match because His cousin (Singer Boy) sang and he was a rapper. They combined their talents and formed a group. Atreyu did feel fulfilled as an artists in the group so he decided to take himself in a different direction namely as a solo artist. Kirk Franklin son Kerrion Franklin released Audio of his conversation with his dad today 😳

Image
Audio complements of Chatty Patti. B-13 Peer Review: My Thoughts Editor: WillyBill This is needed; it is a very eye opening situation. This draws national attention to improperly blended families. In this case and improperly blended family were money and fame exacerbate what has come all too common place in this modern world. A world were man thinks he knows better than THE AUTHOR OF LIFE who says wait until marriage to have sex. No one wants to roll up their sleaves and commit to real systemic change were both father and son's can heal. This is a teachable moment, This a moment to call all fathers to the carpet.  F ather's pay close attention this is a much broader cry for father son healing!  Fame does not insulate you from the upshot of good, bad, nor negligentful parenting! Perhaps if Kirk Franklin hadn't heard ALMIGHTY GOD through the street preacher I pray that Kirk Franklin adhere to GOD through his sons cry for help!   Video complements of Bible Flock Kirk needs

The 334-year-old firm played a major role in the transatlantic slave trade. Written by Paul Meara T.I. wants accountability for an insurance marketplace giant that was heavily involved in the transatlantic slave trade. On Friday (July 17), the Atlanta rapper  penned an open letter  to Lloyd’s of London demanding the company pay reparations for the devastating role it played over a century ago. Lloyd’s of London serves as a major hub where insurance buyers and sellers can congregate to provide and receive services. The company dates back to the 17th century.  T.I, starts the letter using a serious tone and his full name states, “I, Clifford Harris, as a representative of the descendents of the enslaved Africans, am placing Lloyds of London on notice.”  "Our people have been financially impaired & economically disabled due to the systemic oppression and institutional racism it leaves behind,"  T.I. wrote  in the caption of an Instagram post featuring the letter.
