Meek Mill Starts Instagram Beef With Baby Momma

Image
For the most part Meek Mill’s baby momma Fahimah Raheem keeps a pretty low profile. That’s why when she started liking Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree Samuels Ig posts, there was no way the ish was gonna go unnoticed. Mill got wind of the ‘innocent’ likes and blasted Raheem in a post of his own: Word is once Meek saw what was going on he started blowing up Raheem’s phone non-stop. Raheem claims liking the posts was innocent, for the most part I’m really trying to believe her, but COME ON NOW. You know damn well what you were doing. Raheem clapped back at her baby daddy’s antics in a message of her own: Is she right? Should it matter whose pics she likes on IG if Mill is content with the baddest in the game? Hmmm….

Dame Dash Gets Major Props From Kanye West: “He Presented Me To The World”

Image
Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West recently talked about his longevity in the music industry and how much he respects former Roc-A-Fella Records owner Damon “Dame” Dash . Speaking to “The Breakfast Club” this week, Kanye dished on siding with longtime pal Jay Z instead of Dame during the Roc split in the mid-2000’s. “He presented me to the world,” Ye said referring to Dash. “I wouldn’t have a record deal if it wasn’t for Dame Dash. I wasn’t [loyal to him] and this was an extremely visionary move on my part to roll with Jay Z. I’ve mentioned Dame a lot in raps but the story’s not done. It’s been moments where I was wildin’ out and Jay would be like, ‘Okay, Ye, you got to sit these couple plays out’ and it was the moment when Roc-A-Fella [Records] split. It made more sense, career-wise, to roll with Jay even though Dame had supported me. Then I wonder, where would we be if I had rolled with Dame? Would I have been more successful, less successful? I can’t say.” (“The Breakfas

Young Money’s Tyga can breathe a sigh of relief following publicized scrutiny about his alleged romance with teen celebrity Kylie Jenner after receiving a co-sign from rap star Kanye West . Talking to “The Breakfast Club,” Kanye jokingly sided with Tyga and downplayed their age gap. “I think he got in early, I think he was smart. [laughs] They’re closer in age than a lot of relationships I know. I knew Tyga was smart, you know? [laughs] Yeah, I can’t speak on their whole relationship.” (“The Breakfast Club”) This week, Tyga denied ditching his ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna for the 17-year-old reality television personality. “No, I’m not dating Kylie. I’m not dating her. I want to clear that up. I want to be clear to everybody that I didn’t leave my family to be with Kylie. That’s ridiculous. Me and Chyna we broke up, almost close to a year now, because of the decision we made and things in our relationship that wasn’t going right, so we decided to split to raise an emotion

Although Greene was unhappy in his current job, he was comfortable and saw the time needed to write a proper book proposal as too risky. However, at the time Greene was rereading his favorite biography about Julius Ca

The Making of a Slave

Image
Willie Lynch letter This speech was said to have been delivered by Willie Lynch on the bank of the James River in the colony of Virginia in 1712.  Lynch was a British slave owner in the West Indies. He was invited to the colony of Virginia in 1712 to teach his methods to slave owners there. [beginning of the Willie Lynch Letter] Greetings, Gentlemen. I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twelve. First, I shall thank you, the gentlemen of the Colony of Virginia, for bringing me here. I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me on my modest plantation in the West Indies, where I have experimented with some of the newest, and still the oldest, methods for control of slaves. Ancient Rome would envy us if my program is implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious King, whose version of t

The Story Of Margaret Garner

Image
Margaret Garner (called Peggy) was an enslaved African-American woman in pre- Civil War America who was notorious – or celebrated – for killing her own daughter rather than allowing the child to be returned to slavery . She and her family had escaped in January 1856 across the frozen Ohio River to Cincinnati , but they were apprehended by U. S. Marshals acting under the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 . Margaret Garner's defense attorney moved to have her tried for murder in Ohio , to be able to get a trial in a free state and to challenge the Fugitive Slave Law as well. Her story was the inspiration for the novel Beloved (1987) by Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison , which was adapted into a film of the same name starring Oprah Winfrey , as well as for her libretto for the early 21st century opera Margaret Garner (2005), composed by Richard Danielpour .
