Open auditions for major roles in Memphis, Tenn. The CMT network is casting for the upcoming CMT mini series “ Million Dollar Quartet ” and looking to cast actors to play music legends such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and more. “ Million Dollar Quartet ”  is a Tony Award-winning musical based on the recording sessions that featured Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. CMT will be making  an 8 part mini-series that will air on CMT later in 2016. According to a press release, The series will focus on the musicians’ rapid rise to fame during a time of political change and social unrest. The shows casting directors are looking for actors to play the iconic characters in the show and will be holding an open casting call in Memphis on Feb. 13 at the Humes Preparatory Academy Middle School. Acting experience is not required (but probably helpful) and actors interested in the roles are asked to come to the call dressed in their best 1950s look.

Jay Electronica's Friday night Periscope session got pretty real. As far as we know,  Jay Electronica  doesn't have an album on the way, but he has opened a Periscope account, and he got pretty comfortable speaking his mind via live stream Friday night. Jay seemed to be in a pretty excitable mood while answering fan questions in the back of his car, letting viewers know how he felt about a few rap's popular topics. Kendrick Lamar 's name came up multiple times, and Elec's response wasn't entirely consistent throughout. When first asked to put on some K.Dot (he was bumping the new Future), the rapper claimed he only liked Kendrick's Gunplay  collab, "Cartoon & Cereal," playfully suggesting (at 6:00) that "other than that we don’t know what n---a talking about." Cleveland Ohio casting directors are seeking an African American boy between the ages of 4 and 9 for a documentary filming next week. The documentary is for Red Bull TV and will follow the life of rapper and music producer Charles Hamilton. The casting team is looking to cast a kid to play a young Charles Hamilton for scenes that will re-create his childhood years in Cleveland, Ohio.
