Last week, for no apparent reason,  Steven Tyler  and  Joe Perry  of Aerosmith decided to denigrate KISS on Florida radio station the Bone. Responding to a question about the 2003 KISS/Aerosmith tour, Tyler fired this shot: "Kiss is a comic book rock band and they got a couple hits, but they're more of a comic book. You see them in their spackled faces." Ouch. Tyler continued: "We were always a band that had something to prove. According to  TMZ , the famous hype was arrested in Las Vegas Wednesday morning for allegedly assaulting someone in his house with a deadly weapon. The trouble reportedly began when Flavor Flav, whose real name is William Drayton Jr., got into a heated argument with his fiancée and an unidentified teenager. Law enforcement sources say Drayton allegedly threatened one person with a knife and battered another, which led to his fiancée calling the police. Drayton was arrested around 3 a.m. and booked for felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence He’s currently being held on $23,000 bail. In May 2011, Drayton was arrested in Vegas for having four outstanding traffic warrants and booked into a local jail.

One of South Africa’s leading hip hop musicians was convicted yesterday of murdering four school children while street racing through Soweto, drunk and on drugs, bringing an end to a trial that has gripped the country for more than two years. The court found Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye and his friend, Themba Tshabalala, guilty on four counts of murder and two of attempted murder after their speeding Mini Coopers ploughed into the children as they walked back from school in the Johannesburg township in March 2010. “The death of the deceased was caused by the accuseds’ reckless driving at high speeds while under the influence of drugs and alcohol,” Judge Brian Nemavhidi said. The pair could face life in prison.

  YMCMB rapper Tyga is denying a landlord’s claims that he is squatting in his Malibu mansion! (Seriously, we can’t make this stuff up.) According to the landlord, Gholamreza Rezai, Tyga signed a one year lease in June to rent the mansion at $16,000/month, but expressed a wish to terminate the lease early.  When Rezai wouldn’t terminate the lease, Tyga just stopped paying rent.  Rezai claims that Tyga has not paid rent since since September…but is still living in the mansion!  Gezai filed a lawsuit against Tyga for unpaid rent and damages. However Tyga’s rep is calling BS on that one.  According to his rep, Tyga gave Rezai the customary 30 days notice before he MOVED OUT and BOUGHT a $6.5 million dollar mansion of his own!  He went on to argue that that there’s no way Tyga could be squatting rent-free in Rezai’s mansion in Malibu…when he’s living in his brand new mansion in Calabasas.
