Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer   The hip hop scene in Houston was in the midst of a major explosion, ten years ago. By this time, in 2005, Mike Jones emerged as the biggest name on the Houston scene. During the summer, Mike Jones released the platinum   Who Is Mike Jones? , his debut album. Mike Jones failed to reach the same level of mainstream success in his following attempts. However, Mike Jones remained a force on the mixtape level. Most recently, Mike Jones released his mixtape,  Money Train , hosted by DJ Ben Frank and Hip Hop Vibe’s DJ Junior. This morning, Mike Jones was met with bad news, however. The Houston rapper was arrested on 34 counts of human trafficking. Bobby Shmurda is fighting for his life after a weekend jail brawl with two other inmates at Rikers Island Correctional Facility, Sheriff A.J. Goldenberg announced Monday. Just before noon Sunday, jail workers called 911 for an inmate who had been assaulted, Bobby Shmurda, 20, the sheriff said in a prepared statement. He got into an argument with two other male inmates in a medium security cell block during lunchtime, and the dispute turned violent. “An officer outside the cell block heard and saw the altercation as soon as it occurred,” the sheriff said. “He and other officers intervened immediately and broke it up.” No weapons were involved, but several blows with fists ensued. New season of Cinemax Banshee is now filming in PA and is casting lots of extras. There is a new extras call out in Atlanta for the Tyler Perry series “If Loving You Is Wrong”.
