Sony’s ‘Powers’ TV Series Casting in Atlanta for Season 2

Sony Playstation’s superhero series, ‘Powers‘ is coming back for a second season and beginning production in Atlanta.

The show needs talent in the Atlanta area to fill various small roles in episodes filming this fall. See below for current needs and more roles for extras should be announced soon.

Powers,  an edgy dramatic series, is set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?

The show is based on the comic, called Powers,  by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. Sharlto Copley and Michelle Forbes play the crime fighting duo Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim. The duo investigate special types of crimes, those committed by people who have super human abilities called “powers” in the show.  ’Powers’  is produced by Jinxworld and Circle of Confusion in association with Sony Pictures Television. Brian Michael Bendis, Charlie Huston, Remi

Aubuchon, Michael Avon Oeming, Michael Dinner, and David Engel serve as executive producers.
Powers‘ is Sony Playstation’s first original scripted series and so far so good it seems since Sony announced back in May that the show is being renewed for season 2. In a Deadline story, John Koller, Vice President of Platforms Marketing said the following when announcing the network picked the show up for round 2….
“The reception to Powers has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind,” and added “We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.”
No word yet to to a scheduled premiere date for season 2, however, season 1 hit the PlayStation platform last spring so we can most likely expect to watch season 2 around March 2016.
