GRACE JONES NEWS

The Queen of, the disco era, her vision has been the blueprint for many other artists that has followed. Yet she is still managed to remain relevant and consistent for over 20+ years after leaving the US market.

June 2012 Grace Jones performed at The Queens Diamond Jubilee Concert outside the Buckingham Palace in London England.

Nothing could prepare us for the star-studded lineup at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert -- featuring Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Jessie J and more. But it was the electrifying performance by the one and only Grace Jones that really tickled our fancy!
The 64-year-old star literally hula hooped through the entire four minute performance (sans lip-syncing) of her 1985 hit song "Slave To the Rhythm." Singing the famous lines "never stop the action -- you better keep it up" -- Grace lived up to her lyrics. She never missed a beat, note or hip swing.
And in true Grace Jones style, the British icon wore a red and black PVC leotard with a floor-length bustle and topped it all off with a sky high headdress. Her glowing gams, yet another aspect to marvel at, were fabulously on display and a true testament of her age-defying awesomeness.
We are beyond impressed! Wait, do you hear that? It's Beyonce and Lady Gagarunning to their closest sports supply store to snag themselves a shiny new hula hoop.
Check out the hula-hooping hottie in the video above -- and a look at some of our favorite style moments from Grace in the slideshow below.
