Dave Chappelle has quietly announced an intimate fall tour. The stand-up superstar will play theaters in select cities across the country throughout September and October.
The tour will kick off on September 14th at Salt Lake City's Capitol Theater and end on October 7th at Hershey, Pennsylvania's Hershey Theatre. In between, he'll perform at venues in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Colorado and Idaho, to name a few. His longest run, however, will be at New York City's 500-person-capacity Gramercy Theatre, where he'll perform six shows over the course of three nights. He had done a similar string of shows at the venue back in February.

In June of 2014, Chappelle took over NYC's Radio City Music Hall for nearly two weeks. After five sold-out nights of straight stand-up, he hosted four nights of music and comedy featuring special guests like Busta Rhymes, the Roots, Nas, Eykah Badu, DJ Premier and Janelle MonĂ¡e. The event occurred a decade after his legendary Brooklyn Block Party that was documented in a 2005 film Block Party, which was directed by Michel Gondry and also featured Badu and the Roots. Even though no special guests had been previously announced for the first five nights of his Radio City dates, Chappelle's old friend Kanye West surprised audiences with a three-song set.

A decade ago, Chappelle walked away from his lucrative and popular Comedy Central sketch comedy series Chappelle's Show. He made only rare public appearances until 2013, when he made his official return to stand-up.
